The Beijing Paralympics have been rocked by a doping controversy, as "Blade Runner" Oscar Pistorius took the 100m sprint title and China tops the medals table.
In the first drugs scandal of these Games, Pakistani powerlifter Naveed Ahmed Butt, was given a two-year ban for steroid use.
A total of 297 tests have been carried out at the Games so far, both in and out of competition.
Meanwhile, double amputee Pistorius of South Africa, gunning for a sprint treble, took gold in the blue riband 100m at the "Bird's Nest" National Stadium.... the South African made a poor start and was lucky to win after his main rival Marlon Shirley of the United States fell....
It's Pistorious' first paralympic gold medal, but he's hoping to add to that in the the 200 and 400.
China and Britain top the medal table with 11 golds, although the hosts have a greater total.
New Zealand picked up a silver last night with Kate Horan finishing second in the 200 metres on the athletics track.
New Zealand is 26th on the table with a gold and 2 silvers.
