Police in New South Wales are investigating after a laser was pointed at an aircraft on its approach to Newcastle airport.
Police said an A320 Airbus, en route from Brisbane, was targeted with the laser around 11pm (AEST) on Saturday.
AAP reports the plane landed safely, but police are appealing for information.
High powered lasers are considered prohibited weapons and it's illegal to have one without a permit.
