Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will be the keynote speaker at an exclusive 'long lunch' event in Auckland this December, with tickets costing about $500 a head.
It comes after the release of Johnson's memoir and the topics explored on the day include the war in Ukraine, conflict in the Middle East, and the implications of the U.S. election.
It will be the first time Johnson has returned to New Zealand since he visited as UK Foreign Secretary in 2017. He said he looked forward to a no-holds barred discussion.
"I am sure the good people of New Zealand will not hesitate to hammer me with some excellent questions, and I'm up for answering them all."
The event is being hosted by Duco Events but was initiatied in partnership with General Capital and the Auckland Business Chamber - which is encouraging business leaders to attend.
Auckland Business Chamber head Simon Bridges said it had been a long time since Auckland has had "such a notable speaker grace our shores".
"Guests can expect to be endowed with behind-the-scenes insights from some of the most formative times of our generation."
Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters will also be speaking at the event, and Newstalk ZB's Kerre Woodham will MC, while broadcaster Paul Henry will host a Q and A session.
Guests will receive a four-course long lunch and beverages, with prices for single seats starting at $495+GST and tables of 10 from $3995+GST
