Wellington port worker dies two weeks after being injured

A man has died in Wellington Hospital, after being injured while working at Wellington's Centreport more than two weeks ago.

The 60-year-old man, who hasn't been named, sustained head injuries while working in the port's empty container depot on 31 January.

His job involved repairing containers.

He was discovered by one of his colleagues, however nobody saw what happened.

Both WorkSafe and Centreport were investigating.
