A suburban lobby group stymied at the High Court in Wellington is now looking for another way to block a big housing project.

The High Court yesterday rejected an application for a judicial review of the Shelly Bay development.

Enterprise Miramar had argued that the resource consent decision showed apparent bias and was legally wrong, but the court found the Wellington City Council's decisions were lawful and there was no bias.

The group says it sticks by its original claims and will consider an appeal.

The council's acting chief executive, Kane Patena, says the aim is to get the project back on track as quickly as possible.
