11:30 am on 24 December 2013

New Zealand have beaten the West Indies by eight wickets in the third cricket Test at Hamilton to win their first three-Test series in nearly eight years.

Set a target of 122, the Black Caps only lost two wickets on their way to victory on day four at Seddon Park, to claim the series 2-0.

Hamish Rutherford brought up the winning runs scoring 48 not out, with Ross Taylor unbeaten on two.

Kane Williamson top-scored for New Zealand with 56.

Ross Taylor was named man of the match after scoring 131 in the first innings.

It was New Zealand's first Test series victory since beating Zimbabwe in a one-off Test in January 2012, and their first three-Test series win since March 2006, which was also at home against the West Indies.
