Heavy fog and an early morning car crash are causing delays for Auckland commuters this morning.
An accident near Ōtara shortly before 6am blocked two southbound lanes of SH1.
A car rolled on the Southern Motorway just before 6am and police earlier said emergency services were in attendance.
There were no serious injuries reported, however delays to commutes were expected, police said in a statement.
Waka Kotahi NZTA said the East Tāmaki on-ramp southbound had been fully cleared and all lanes were open again shortly after 7am.
Elsewhere in the city, heavy fog was causing disruptions to ferry services, with West Harbour, Hobsonville, and Beach Haven routes all experiencing delays.
Half Moon Bay and Gulf Harbour ferry services were either being cancelled or replaced by uber/bus services, Auckland Transport said.
Flights have also been impacted by the fog, with Air New Zealand cancelling 20 regional flights so far, due to poor visibility for aircraft.
