Engineer's disciplinary hearing ends

17:06 pm on 29 August 2014

A three-day disciplinary hearing into the conduct of an Earthquake Commission engineer has finished.

Graeme Robinson appeared before a Chartered Professional Engineers disciplinary hearing over complaints about his conduct and assessments of earthquake damage to 11 Canterbury properties.

Complaints alleged Mr Robinson was rude, aggressive and one couple said he showed no care for them as human beings.

Mr Robinson told the hearing he tried his best to treat people with regard and respect but there were times when the message was not nice and was not well received.

A decision into the hearing will be released in about six weeks, following a 28-day appeal period for the parties involved.
