Disaster authorities in Fiji say floodwaters in the west are finally receding after the weekend's cyclone but the north has been struck by a fresh spate of flooding as heavy rain hit there overnight.

Cyclone Josie caused widespread flooding and landslides in the west of the main island Viti Levu, leading to six reported casualties, and hundreds seeking shelter in evaucation centres.
The National Disaster Management Office said there were still more than 500 people in the 10 centres still open in the west but the situation was improving with power starting to be restored to most areas.
However up to 40 percent of Ba and Nadi are still without power.
Meanwhile schools are closed in Labasa on the northern island of Vanua Levu due to overnight rain which led to over 30 families fleeing to evacuation centres.
The Ministry of Education said schools in the Western Division from Rakiraki to Nadroga Navosa would remain closed until at least Monday.
