Fiji's interim Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is taking senior management staff of the Fiji Times to court today after he secured an ex parte order.
The case relates to a letter that was in contempt of court, published by the paper after the high court validated the 2006 military coup.
The interim attorney-general is seeking a committal order to send the acting chief executive officer and publisher Rex Gardner and the editor-in-chief Netani Rika to jail after the hearing.
The last time he sought a similar order was against a former Fiji Law Society vice president Tupou Draunidalo who had been especially vocal against certain actions by the interim administration.
