The New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko is unlikely to win her first major title at this weekend's first major tournament of the year in California.
The world number one carded a two over par third round 74 to be in a tie for 48th at two over for the tournament, 13 strokes behind the leader from Korea, Sei Young Kim, who's on 10 under par to Ko's three over total.
A day earlier at Rancho Mirage, Ko's record-equalling run of consecutive sub-par rounds on the LPGA tour ended at 29.
Ko shot a one over par 73 in the second round following her first round 71 to tie the record set 11 years ago by Annika Sorenstam.
