Former All Blacks captain Mike Brewer has joined Scotland boss Frank Hadden's coaching staff and predicts a bright future for the senior team.
Brewer will be national forwards coach while Graham Steadman has joined as national defence coach.
A former Great Britain rugby league international, Steadman spent three years as Ireland's defence coach until being replaced earlier this year by Les Kiss.
Brewer, 43, succeeds George Graham who lost his job as forwards coach shortly after the Six Nations Championship, in which Scotland finished second bottom.
