Professor Raina McIntyre leads the Biosecurity Research Program at the Kirby Institute at the University of New South Wales in Sydney.
One of her key research areas is in epidemic responses to emerging infectious diseases.
She's been in New Zealand recently leading a University of Otago Public Health Summer School course called 'Responding to a mystery epidemic in the Pacific'. This was organised before the current novel coronavirus/Covid-19 outbreak.
