Five members of the Head Hunters gang are facing firearms charges after an incident in Auckland yesterday.
Police were called to an Astley Avenue address in New Lynn where they found an injured man.
He remains in a serious condition in hospital following the incident.
The five men were found later at an address in Henderson and arrested, Detective Senior Sergeant Megan Goldie, of Waitematā CIB said in a statement.
Those charged are due to appear in the Waitākere District Court today.
The men are aged between 22 and 40 and have all have been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.
Police are still at the scene at two addresses - in New Lynn and at an industrial address on View Road in Henderson.
Police are still investigating and say further charges may be laid.
