The prime minister has announced Covid-19 measures will be relaxed, but what does that mean for community rugby and Super Rugby Pacific?

New Zealand Rugby chief executive Mark Robinson speaks to media:

Robinson said today was a "really positive day" for rugby in New Zealand, and that there was now opportunities for community rugby across the country to get off the ground.

He said he was "delighted" that fans can come back to stadiums.

Today Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced that all outdoor gathering limits will be removed from the traffic light system. Indoor gathering limits will increase from 100 to 200 under the red light setting.

Vaccine passes will no longer be required from 11.59pm on 4 April.

In Orange, outdoor events will also be limitless. Close contact is higher risk for indoor events however so organisers of events over 500 people are encouraged to either add extra capacity or provide seating.

Green will not have restrictions but there will be guidance, and will not change.
