Four youths - including a 13-year-old - have been arrested after two Waikato shops were robbed this morning.
Three armed offenders entered the Tirau supermarket on Hillcrest Street at around 8.45am, police said.
They threatened staff, demanded cash and cigarettes, and left in a stolen blue Mazda vehicle, a spokesperson said.
The Mazda was then driven to a shop on State Highway 29 in Te Poi where two people got out and stole items before leaving again.
The stolen vehicle was recovered in Matamata.
Police have since arrested three 16-year-olds and one 13-year-old.
