The Olympic women's football final between the United States and Japan at Wembley will smash the Games attendance record after a late surge in ticket sales.
A crowd of at least 83,000 is guaranteed after 5000 tickets were bought following the defending champions' 4-3 extra-time win over Canada, and world champion Japan's 2-1 win over France in the semifinals, Reuters reports.
Earlier in the tournament, more than 70,000 watched the Great Britain-Brazil match.
