The gap between National and Labour has widened slightly in the latest 3-News Reid Research poll.
The leaders of both parties have gained some ground in the preferred Prime Minister's stakes.
The National Party is up 2.4 points to 49.5%.
On this result, National would secure 63 seats in the House, enough to govern alone.
Labour is down 2.1 points to 31%.
The Green Party is steady on 12% and combined, Labour and the Greens would have 55 seats.
National's John Key and Labour's David Shearer are both up about 1% for preferred Prime Minister, at 42 and 12% respectively.
However, fewer people think either politician is performing well.
Mr Key is down 3 points to 52%, and Mr Shearer is down 10 points to 26%.
The poll of 1000 voters has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1%.
