Scottish idea for pet safety on Guy Fawkes night takes off

A petition to ban the sale of fireworks to the public has gathered almost 25,000 signatures with organisers wanting Guy Fawke's celebrations restricted to public displays organised by Councils. In Scotland, retail outlets like Sainsburys stopped selling fireworks in the run-up to November 5 with their Government announcing proposals for even tighter restrictions on setting off fireworks on private property. And whilst a fear for the welfare of animals is a concern worldwide, a community in Scotland has come up with an increasingly popular alternative. Bridget Burke reports.
