An 18-year-old has been charged with the murder of her premature baby.
The baby, believed to be 30 to 36 weeks old from gestation, was found dead in a property in the west Auckland suburb of Green Bay in August.
The woman appeared in Waitakere District Court on Thursday on the fresh charge. She also faces a charge of concealing the baby's body.
All details relating to her identity remain suppressed
The woman is on bail at her home address which differs from that where the baby was found.
Slight variations were made to her 24-hour curfew for medical purposes and she will next appear in court on 1 October.
