Nelson MP Nick Smith was heckled this morning by a group of TPP protesters.
Dr Smith was at his caravan at the Nelson Market where he holds weekly constituent meetings, when the group marched up.
The protest's leader Graeme O'Brien told him they were there to ask about the TPP negotiations under way and why the Government was still being secretive.
Dr Smith was shouted down when he said he was happy to have a civil conversation on the Government's thinking around the TPP.
He said Nelson more than any other part of New Zealand was dependent on its capacity to export for its standard of living.
