NewsCorp has bought Storyful, a social media news agency in Dublin, Ireland, for $US25 million.

Storyful specialises in licensing and distributing social media content to news organisations such as The Wall Street Journal and the BBC.

Founder Mark Little set up the company in 2010. He was previously a presenter on RTE, an Irish TV network.
