The government in American Samoa has submitted to lawmakers the US$279.6 million budget for fiscal year 2006 that begins in October.
The budget is two per cent higher than the current fiscal year's US$268.2 million.
According to the budget submission, local revenue of US$65.5 million is two per cent over the last fiscal year, and grant revenue is estimated at US$86.1 million.
The Department of Interior Grant-in-Aid is US$32.7 million including US$9.5 million in Capital Improvement Projects and Enterprise Funds is US$95.4 million.
