14:54 pm on 17 January 2018

An elderly Hamilton man is still missing, two days after he was last seen.

Raymond Stirling, 84, was last seen near his Flagstaff home on Monday evening.

He suffers from mild dementia and police sid he may be confused and lost.

Police and Mr Stirling's family were very concerned for his well-being.

Several sightings of him yesterday have been discounted by police.

It was believed Mr Stirling was wearing blue track pants, and white and red sneakers.

Police were visiting properties near his Halcione Close home and asking residents to check their sections, along with buildings such as sheds and garages.
