The head of the World Anti-Doping Agency, New Zealander David Howman, says his organisation's had no approach from cyclist Lance Armstrong that would indicate he's about to admit to using performance-enhancing drugs.
The New York Times has reported Armstrong, who has strongly denied the doping charges that led to him being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles, is considering admitting drug use.
But Howman says he wouldn't be surprised if Armstrong did want to make a full confession and would be prepared to meet with him.
He says as long as Armstrong doesn't make any admissions, he has to live with it every day and says any confession would have to be sincere.
Meanwhile Armstrong's lawyer says he's unaware of any plans by Armstrong to admit he used performance-enhancing drugs.
