Authorities in Papua New Guinea are playing down the threat of a local militant group vowing to fight in neighbouring West Papua where armed conflict has escalated.
The group in East Sepik province released a video this month declaring itself ready to help West Papuan independence fighters in their campaign against Indonesia's military.
But as Johnny Blades reports, as long as the conflict on its doorstep remains unresolved, PNG struggles to contain the spillover impacts.
