Wellington Free Ambulance has been told to reinstate two paramedics who were sacked over allegations of bullying.
The Employment Relations Authority said Hayden Austing and Nicola Gisbson-Horne should be allowed to go back to work on full pay, until a full hearing is held in February.
However, the authority is leaving it up the ambulance service to decide where they should be stationed and their hours.
The pair are accused of being aggressive and intimidating to their colleagues but they say they have unblemished records and were unjustifiably dismissed in June.
Wellington Free Ambulance said it opposed to their reinstatement, arguing patient safety could be affected.
