One person has died after a crash in Auckland this morning.
Emergency services were called to the two-car crash on Mount Eden Road, near Three Kings Grove, just before 5am.
A police spokesperson says the road remains blocked while emergency crews are at the scene.
Motorists have been asked to take different routes.
The Serious Crash Unit has been notified.
The unit is also investigating after a motorcyclist died after crashing into a tree in Canterbury.
The motorbike caught fire after it left the road and hit a tree on Williams Street, Kaiapoi, about 3.10pm yesterday.
