Tonga law to counter internet abuses passed

Tonga's legislature has now passed its new cyber bullying bill, known officially as the Electronic Communication Abuse Offences Act.

The Attorney General, Linda Folaumoetu'i, went on radio and TV to explain it aims to address the use of any communication platform to  abuse, harass or otherwise harm another.

Our correspondent in Tonga, Kalafi Moala, told Don Wiseman that while it's unclear how any abuses will be policed, there has been a positive reaction to the move.
