Police are about to talk to the media about a woman who escaped bound and gagged from the boot of a moving car in south Auckland last night.

The woman was critically injured after tumbling from the moving car. She was taken to Middlemore Hospital.
Papatoetoe residents described seeing the woman bound and gagged with ropes emerge from the car boot.
