Don't look back in anger

A YouTube user has compiled a ten-minute video of highlights of former Oasis star Noel Gallagher's DVD commentary, in which he gives a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of Oasis' music videos, and pans much of the band's later work:

Can we turn the sound down? I'm very uninspired by this point. We shouldn't really have made this album, if I'm being honest. ... I mean, walking in videos, somebody sussed out there at some point like ten years into it, ‘All they’re prepared to do is walk. They’ll walk and play. They can walk and play at the same time, but walking, and playing, is basically what they do. And standing still. And looking bored’. … Thank god that’s over. What was the next one off this album? Oh, f...

It almost goes without saying, but the video contains quite a bit of explicit language. (Noel's interview with GQ, from October 2013, is also worth a read, if only for this revelation alone.)

As for the other one, Noel's little brother Liam Gallagher expands on his decision to cover Oasis songs with his new outfit Beadyeye, currently Down Under for the Big Day Out, in an interview with Australia's The Age, published yesterday. Hits from What's The Story (Morning Glory) were apparently well-received during Beadyeye's set at the Auckland festival last week, for which Liam reportedly skipped a child-custody hearing in Manhattan to attend.
