An animal rescue charity is calling for greater protection of animals after continued investigations have found more abused animals in puppy farms across New Zealand. HUHA which stands for Helping You Help Animals is a charity that provides sanctuary for homeless, abandoned, seized and abused animals. HUHA says the current laws offer no protection for animals and so long as animals have food, water and shelter, unsafe and unethical puppy farms can't be shut down. Cameraman Dom Thomas visited HUHA founder Carolyn Press-Mckenzie who had just taken in a litter of unwanted labrador puppies after they were saved from being euthanised at birth.
