A popular internet file-sharing indexing site, BTJunkie in Britain, says it is closing voluntarily.
Another site, Megaupload in the United States, was closed on 19 January in a crackdown on piracy of films, music and other material.
BTJunkie provided a search engine for bit torrent file downloads and was ranked as one of the top five such sites, with millions of users a month.
TorrentFreak, a website that covers file-sharing news, quotes the founder of BTJunkie as saying thye decision to close stemmed partly from the actions against Megaupload and The Pirate Bay, which also faces legal action in Europe.
