A homicide investigation has been launched after a woman's body was found in a vehicle in Waiuku Friday evening.
Police were called to the area about 5.40pm on Friday.
A scene examination is underway, and a post-mortem will be conducted Sunday.
A 50-year-old man has been taken into custody and is assisting police with enquiries.
