The Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands, RAMSI, has helped the National Disaster Office deliver much needed food supplies to the people of Tikopia and Anuta in Temotu Province.
Both islands were hit by a devastating cyclone nearly a year ago and were further damaged by a second cyclone in June.
A RAMSI supply vessel, HMAS Wewak, picked up food, clothing and school materials on Tuesday in the provincial capital Lata.
The food supplies include 70 tonnes of rice, 15 hundred sacks of potatoes, and five thousand coconuts and should arrive on Tikopia and Anuta later this week..
