Police are investigating after finding a man dead at a residential property in Mt Wellington, Auckland.
They arrived at the residential building on Lynton Road just before 2pm after a report a man had suffered injuries.
A woman who was at the address is now being spoken to by police.
Auckland City East CIB Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Brand said the circumstances of the death were being treated as unexplained.
"There will be an increased presence of police in the area as our investigation gets underway," Brand said.
"We need to hear from anyone who may have information that can assist Police with our investigation."
A scene examination would be carried out and later, a post-mortem exam.
