Prime Minister John Key says the Government will address the issue of school students going to school hungry, but will not give details until the policy is finalised.
The Government has been criticised for not including anything in the Budget to address the issue.
However, Mr Key said on Friday they would make an announcement in the next couple of weeks.
He said there are other partners involved, but would not confirm if they are dairy cooperative Fonterra and Sanitarium.
However, the Prime Minister said the Government would be responding to the issue of youngsters going to school without breakfast.
