Leaders from Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, Marshall Islands, the Northern Marianas and Guam, said they need support for resolutions made at their summit last week in Saipan.

They also want transportation waivers and a softening of cabotage laws in an effort to open up shipping and air transportation.
The leaders saw opportunities to improve healthcare through telemedicine but they say they need better internet and technical support.
Climate change remains a key concern with ongoing worries about land loss, rising tides and the impact on tuna stocks and their migratory patterns.
All agreed the temperature rise should not be higher than 1.5 degrees, as per the Paris agreement but they want more international collaboration on combating climate change.
