Taiwan has thanked its Pacific allies for supporting its bid to join the World Health Organisation.
According to Taiwan's Foreign Ministry, 14 of its dwindling allies wrote letters to the body asking for Taiwan to be included.
Taiwan has previously accused the WHO of bowing to pressure from China by excluding it.
The Foreign Ministry said Pacific support came from the Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Palau, Tuvalu, Nauru and Solomon Islands.
The Taiwan state-owned Central News Agency reports a proposal for its inclusion is expected to be held this week during talks in Geneva.
