Storm officially reclaim top spot in NRL

10:17 am on 5 September 2011

The Melbourne Storm officially relaimed the National Rugby League minor premiership yesterday despite a 40-8 drubbing from the Sydney Roosters in the final round of the regular season.

After Many's loss to Brisbane yesterday afternoon, Craig Bellamy rested four of his players for last night's game, including stars Billy Slater and Cameron Snmith, and after their big loss they were more focussed on their phenomenal season's achievement, for a club left decimated 18 months ago after their infamous salary cap scandal.

The Storm play Newcastle at AAMI Park in the qualifying final on Sunday.
