Police say a prisoner who was missing after being granted leave for a tangihanga has now been located.
Daryl Hempopo, 27, was granted compassionate bail to attend a relative's tangihanga, but police then launched a search for him after he failed to return to Mount Eden Corrections Facility.
Police said he was located after presenting himself earlier this evening.
Hempopo has warrants for charges including aggravated robbery, indecently assaulting a female over the age of 16, and assaulting police.
