The Silver Fern defender Karin Burger is leaving two time winning ANZ premiership netball champions the Central Pulse and joining this year's runners-up the Mainland Tactix.
With Katrina Rore and Kelly Jury the first choice defensive combination at the Pulse, Burger got limited court time and has decided to head south to the Tactix.
Her arrival at the Tactix though is offset by the loss of Temalisi Fakahokotau who after four seasons in Christchurch is leaving to join the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic.
"We are sad to see Temalisi go, as she has been a fantastic team member but we understand that family should always take priority. She has made a significant contribution over the past four seasons and we have seen her develop on and off court," said coach Marianne Delaney-Hoshek.
"We are excited about the addition of Karin which will allow Jane to play more in the GK role. She brings a determined attitude and will only enhance our options at the defence end."
