A retired assistant police commissioner in Samoa, Pagamalie Penani Lemuelu, and his wife have lodged a complaint after being accused of stealing part of church fundraising money in Australia.
The retired officer's wife is the former treasurer of the Aleisa i Sasa'e parish of the Congregational Christian Church.
The accusation was made by a church minister, the Reverend Apisaloma Ta'eleipu.
Both deny the allegations of stealing 10,000 US dollars.
However the accusations have resulted in a complaint but the case has been adjourned to February.
