Gambia's Yahya Jammeh wins fourth presidential term

Yahya Jammeh has been declared the winner of Thursday's presidential election in Gambia.

The president, who won a landslide victory with 72% of the votes cast, now begins his fourth term in office.

He first took power in a military coup in 1994.

Election observers criticised the poll.
