One person is dead following a jet boat accident near Lake Wanaka on Friday.
The ambulance service said a jet boat turned over in the Matukituki Valley.
Five people were onboard and the police have confirmed that a male died.
A 25 year-old woman and a male in his forties have been flown to Dunedin Hospital, with moderate and serious injuries.
The boat's two other occupants escaped uninjured.
Police say the accident at around 4.45pm on Friday.
