Police are not looking for anyone else following the stabbing death of a Timaru man on Saturday night.
Tony Francis Crammond, 44, was found by police at a Timaru house at about 7pm with stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital but died soon after.
Detective senior sergeant Marion Neill says police have spoken to a 41-year-old woman at the address, and a knife had been found.
A post-mortem was carried out on Sunday and the preliminary results forwarded to the coroner.
Ms Neill says no one else is being sought in connection with Mr Crammond's death.
