Fiji's opposition leader Ro Teimumu Kepa says she won't contest the leadership of her SODELPA Party.

The party is due to hold its annual general meeting in three weeks to elect a new leader after changes to the party constitution.

Ro Teimumu told FBC News that it was time for her to make room for new leadership.

FBC News says in the running are MPs Viliame Gavoka, Ratu Isoa Tikoca and a former prime minister Sitiveni Rabuka.
