Former Maori All Black Bill Bush says it's time for the New Zealand Rugby Union to really promote Maori rugby.
Waatea News reports he wants Ngapuhi's Buck Shelford, the only unbeaten All Black captain, to replace Andy Haden who has stood down as a Rugby World Cup ambassador.
He also says the Maori team's centenary clean sweep, including two games against international sides, has highlighted the strength of the Maori brand, and needs to be followed up with more overseas fixtures.
