The Warriors teenage fullback Reece Walsh has been fined $5000 and suspended for two games by the NRL after being arrested last week on the Gold Coast in possession of cocaine.
The Warriors have said previously they'll also consider their own sanctions.
Walsh is also facing criminal charges in relation to the incident.
The NRL has also imposed heavy fines on Melbourne Storm players Cameron Munster, Brandon Smith and Chris Lewis.
Munster's been fined $30,000, Smith $15,000 and Lewis $4000 and the trio have all been suspended for one game after they featured in videos, which emerged last month of them partying in a Queensland hotel with what appears to be a white substance.
NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo said the players had let everyone down with their actions.
"I understand that players have endured a long season under strict protocols. However, there is no excuse for the behaviour we have seen over the past week. The players have let themselves, their clubs and the rugby league community down," he said.
"These sanctions are designed to include an element of rehabilitation and development as well as having consequences for the individual and team."
The players have five working days to appeal the decision.
