Venus Williams has been on the receiving end of a massive upset, beaten in straight sets in the final of the Madrid Masters by the 23 year old Frenchwoman Aravane Rezai.
The highpoint of Rezai's career capped off a week in which she upset two former world number ones, Justine Henin and Jelena Jankovic.
Despite Williams' loss she regains the world number two ranking this week behind her sister Serena, while Rezai comes into calcuations for the French Open starting today week.
